Edukasyon.ph and ASUS PH Bring ‘Share Campaign’ to Ateneo de Manila University

Edukasyon.ph, the largest education technology platform for Filipino Gen Z youth, in partnership with ASUS Philippines, hosted its second leg of student workshops as part of its year-long Share Campaign collaboration. The content creation workshop, held on November 11 at the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU), featured the country’s pioneering wedding videographer Jason Magbanua.

The workshop was attended by 50 college students in Management Information Systems, Communication Technology, Computer Science and Communication, who participated in a learning experience of crafting video content using ASUS’ newest product, the ZenBook Pro Duo. To help bring their creative storytelling to life, Magbanua guided students in exploring different tips and techniques in video creation through the use of new technology.

This educational initiative is part of the Share Campaign, which technology giant ASUS launched in 2017 as a way of sharing technical knowledge and skills through its innovative products, and to give back to its valued users for selecting ASUS as their brand of choice over the years. In June, Edukasyon.ph and ASUS PH conducted a graphic design workshop with actor, singer and digital animator Tom Rodriguez at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines campus in Sta. Mesa, Manila.

Francis Garcia, Marketing Lead for Consumer Notebooks and Commercial PC Business of ASUS Philippines, said, “As we celebrate 30 years of operations here in the country and our recent launch of the ZenBook Pro Duo, we are proud to continue our collaboration with Edukasyon.ph to promote creativity and innovation among young Filipinos. We want to empower students with new tools and technology, and we’re excited for them to experience our hero product here today as they learn from Jason Magbanua’s expertise in video creation.”

Magbanua, with nearly 20 years of experience, is recognized as one of the most influential videographers internationally and continues to lead the industry forward by teaching and mentoring new and aspiring visual content creators.

Magbanua advised students, “Time is our most important commodity, and that’s why we give value to creating memories and personal stories that can be captured, shared and retold. For budding videographers, it’s important to find the right subject or market that resonates with your own visual style and there will always be room for improving your craft, especially through the aid of new tools.”

Edukasyon.ph and ASUS will continue to empower the Filipino youth through specialized trainings, experiential learning and other activities that will be rolled-out to more schools in the coming months. Henry Motte-Muñoz, CEO and Founder of Edukasyon.ph, said “We are grateful for partners like ASUS PH, a leading brand that enables students to embrace their own passions and acquire the technical skills to match. At Edukasyon, our goal is to make the future less scary for the youth, and together with various industry leaders, we can help build their confidence and competencies to excel in their desired career paths.”
